Police Raid New Jersey Warehouse Poker Game

Time and time again, people across the country are getting busted for playing illegally. It�s almost as if they want to be caught it happens so often. This time, six people were arrested and 22 were given city ordinance violations in New Jersey after cops bust an illegal poker ring being held in a warehouse. Nice to see that the organisers can do a good line in clich� when it comes to picking a venue.

After spending a month investigating claims, the police finally made their swoop over the weekend, seizing $11,000 cash plus a few gaming tables, cards, chips and some computers just in case anyone fancied an online game whilst they were sitting out the latest hand.

The ringleader Michael Duong of Flushing, NY, was charged with promoting gambling, conspiracy to promote gambling, but best of all, maintaining a gambling resort. Surely the police had their tongues firmly in their cheeks when describing the humble warehouse as a resort. One doubts there was much to do there other than stare at boxes or play poker. All those arrested have been released on bail to appear at a later date.
