EMI to Release Poker Compilation Album

Picture the scene: you’re dealing the cards, there’s an unopened bottle of whiskey on the table and your friend’s are rifling through your CD collection to find something appropriate to put on. Five minutes later, no one can concentrate thanks to Scott Joplin tinkling in the background and everyone imagining themselves as Robert Redford in The Sting.

But fear no more, because record company EMI have tasked their Canadian division to develop the latest in their cash-in line of compilation CDs: The Best Beer Drinking Album In The World Ever! Volume 3 – Poker Night.

Okay, so this might be one to put in the drawer as to not draw your wife’s attention to, but it does solve the issue of what to play. Track listings are not yet available, but rumours abound that blues and country songs about alcoholism, losing money and splitting with your wife have been banned. Time will tell. In the meantime, it’s best to play in dignified silence.
