Dan Carter, 18, Signs Sponsorship Deal with UK Site

Dan Carter, known lovingly by his nickname, Lucky Scrote, has just landed himself a sponsorship deal with poker.co.uk after impressive performances in a number of tournaments and a swathe of high profile press coverage. Not particularly remarkable you might think for a pro to pick up such a deal, but it is when you consider the guy is only 18 years of age.

Poker.co.uk director Matt Dale had been tracking him for a while and moved after he saw articles appearing in some major magazines. �Dan�s record was very impressive for someone so young,� he says. �I knew we had to do something.� Carter will wear his sponsor-smothered kit for the first time at the Luton Springfest over 8th and 9th April and then at the Irish Poker Open on 15th and 16th April. �It�s brilliant to have the support of such a strong brand,� according to the Scrote himself. �I look at this as a win-win situation.� With all that extra money to put on the table, why shouldn�t he?
