Tuesday 7th March 2006 Play Your Cards Right to Get to the Champions League Final
The pressure is mounting as the knock out rounds of poker’s most innovative tournament have started. For a $10 buy in, players can now enter the Goalpoker.com Champions League of Poker tourney in the quarter finals for their chance to win an all expenses paid seat at the UEFA Champions League final on 17 May and a share in the $50,000 prize pot.
After battling out at the final table in a top London casino, the ten lucky football fans will be given full VIP treatment as they are flown to Paris. The winners will be put up in luxury accommodation before attending club football’s European showpiece at The Stade de France. However, one lucky winner will walk away with the incredible Goalpoker.com Champions League of Poker Trophy to boot and the prestige of being the first ever winner of the poker worlds equivalent of football’s top club prize.
To get to the final table, players will first have to win their way through ten rounds of poker. The series follows a similar format to a football tournament with players first having to qualify from group stages to progress.
