Friday 10th February 2006 Tournament Reporter acquired by PokerPages
GIBRALTAR - February 9, 2006 - Planet Ace Gibraltar Ltd., owner of PokerPages ( www.PokerPages.com ), the leading provider of Live Tournament poker content announced today the completion of its acquisition of Tournament Reporter ( www.TournamentReporter.com ), the leading online tournament poker player rankings and reporting service.
Tournament Reporter's Rank and Reports provide online real money multi-table tournament players with the most relevant-to-tournament performance measures, in an intuitive, visual, and well-organized interface. Tournament Reporter is designed to be quick and easy to use, since players can get a great deal of information by clicking through hundreds of flash based charts and reports. Tournament Reporter already reports on over 1,100,000 players at leading sites including BugsysClub, Paradise Poker, Party Poker, Poker Stars, and Ultimate Bet.
The combination of Planet Ace Gibraltar and Tournament Reporter creates one of the largest and most innovative poker media companies. Planet Ace Gibraltar Ltd. will operate Tournament Reporter as a subsidiary, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, and led by Alex Antoniou, Tournament Reporter's President and CEO. Tournament Reporter was acquired by Planet Ace Gibraltar for an undisclosed amount of cash and stock.
Planet Ace Gibraltar also announced the launch of BugsysClub Reporter ( www.BugsysClubReporter.com ), an upgraded Member Edition version of Tournament Reporter, available to Bugsys Club players. Bugsys Club Reporter is designed to deliver to Bugsys Club multi-table tournament players an enhanced poker playing experience with new player rankings and hundreds of statistical player reports.
