888.com Creates 'Women Only' Poker Table

888.com has got in touch with its feminine side this week with the announcement that it is launching a card room solely for the ladies in response to the growing number of women playing poker. 888.com says that the new tables will cater specifically to the �needs� of female players, including features such as �larger chat boxes� for increased volumes of gossip and a table that can be changed to hot pink baize and disco balls, at the player�s whim. There is also a virtual bar where players can order Sex in the City style cocktails

Matt Robinson, 888.com's UK Marketing Manager commented: 'From a study of 888.com's 10 million members, one statistic that stands out head and shoulders over any other stats, is women playing poker online is at an all time high and the percentage of women plying online looks set to further increase. Men don't really care what the site looks like as long as it is realistic, fun and entertaining. However women notice their surroundings a lot more and as with fashion, demand the very latest colours and styles, as well as the desire to chat while playing!'
