Paddy Power Adds More WSOP Markets

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power is offering poker fans a final chance to bet on the prestigious World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event following phenomenal interest in betting on the competition.

Such was the demand that the bookie will run at least three markets, to include the outright winner, next player gone and winning hand, on the final table which will be televised and broadcast on the internet live for the first time on ESPN pay-per-view.

'This has been our biggest poker betting market ever and we want to give fans who couldn�t be there and players who got knocked out a chance to sweat every hand of the final table and make a few quid towards their buy-in next year,� said a spokesman for Paddy Power.

The final table action kicks off at around 20:00 BST on the evening of Thursday 10 August and has the potential to last through the night as the players battle it out for the $12 million first prize.
