Betfair Asian Poker Tour Announces More Satellites

The Betfair Asian Poker Tour (BAPT) has launched its open-to-all buy-in system and new online qualification routes.

The new schedule offers single table satellites from $35 to $65 and super-satellite tournaments from $3.60. It is also possible to buy-in direct for $5,000 via www.BetfairAsianPokerTour.com. The competition is open to players over the age of 21 and those without a Betfair Poker account can also buy-in direct via this site.

�We want to make it as easy as possible for all poker players to get involved in this unique event,� said head of poker, Ben Fried.

The $8,000 BAPT prize packages include the $5,000 buy-in, travel expenses, accommodation and spending money as well as a hospitality package and a whole host of extras, courtesy of Betfair and the Singapore Tourism Board.

The competition, which will run from November 12 to 17, will be Singapore�s first ever poker event and the largest poker tournament in Asia. An estimated 400 players will contribute to a prize pool of $2 million and the winner can expect to take home some $500,000.
