InterXgaming Raises Questions Over US-Facing Business

Following the gambling restriction legislation which was passed through the US Senate recently, InterXgaming says it is questioning whether it is in its best interests to end business with US gamblers as many leading gaming sites have already done.

InterXgaming, an international internet gaming site consisting of an online casino, online poker room and online sportsbook, has announced it will not make any permanent decisions as to accepting US players or not. The site said it had made its decision since the law had not yet been acceptably defined in terms of how it will affect gaming in offshore companies and whether it will entail a total ban on all payment methods to such sites.

With 80 per cent of InterXgaming customer base coming from the US the new legislation is likely to hit the site hard. 'It will be tough in the coming months as most online gaming companies will look to Asia and Europe,” said Todd Wolf, marketing manager, “driving up prices for media in those regions'.

“We will have to divert spending away from the US,” said Wolf. “Our focus now is to find local partners in all non-US countries to promote interXcasino, interXpoker and interXbet according to the needs of their local market.'
