French Player Wins Online Casino $500,000 Freeroll

Titan Poker's Refer a Friend Freeroll saw $500,000 worth of prizes distributed to competitors, making it one of the largest online tournaments staged this year.

French player Thierry Barou claimed first place and the $80,000 cash prize at the event staged on October 15, 2006.

Three hundred players finished in the money and took home a share of the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Barou, who plays under the nickname ‘bioman’, said, 'I didn't move from my chair for seven hours during the tournament - and I won $80,000. I still can't believe it.'

With $500,000 in guaranteed prizes, the $500K Refer a Friend Freeroll attracted great interest among Titan Poker players. Players qualified for seats through special promotions and by referring friends to Titan Poker.
