Jordi Bonell, a father-of-two from Spain, has become the fifth player to qualify for the richest sit and go tournament ever to be played online – The Tournament Titan.
With its enormous $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, The Tournament Titan competition is drawing some of the best tournament players online.
Titan Poker launched the competition to try to track down the world's best and most consistent poker tournament player. With qualification for the competition requiring Titan Poker players to demonstrate their unfailing talent by making a final table three times in a row, Titan Poker has certainly upped the ante.
The first twenty players to achieve this feat at any of the poker room’s scheduled tournaments will earn a seat in The Tournament Titan, guaranteeing themselves a share of the $1,000,000 in prizes.
Latest triumph Bonell qualified after finishing at the final table in Titan Poker's $2,000 GP Freezeout consecutively three times. With buy-in totalling $33 for the tournaments, Bonell’s investment has already returned at least $25,000 and he stands to win up to $200,000.
Bonell was astounded by his success. “I nearly didn't even ask the Titan support team if I had qualified as I just couldn't believe that it was possible,” he said. “I cannot believe that this is real, it has brought me enormous joy.'
