Playtech Ltd Announce Interim Results

Playtech Ltd has announced its interim results for the six months ending June 30 this year, revealing an increase in both casino and poker revenues and a total revenue increase of 139%.

The financial highlights see a 129% increase in casino revenue to $40.4 million, with poker revenues up 851% to $4.8 million. This accounts for a total revenue increase of 139% to $46.2 million, compared to its 2005 equivalent of �19.3 million, and an adjusted net profit increase of 172% to $37.3.

Operational highlights include the addition of seven new licences this year, three being through the migration of active sites with Asian and European players, and the development of its mobile and Videobet gaming platforms. Playtech has also initiated a long-term recruitment programme, with the installation of a Playtech Academy in Estonia and a new development centre in Bulgaria.
