Fox to Air Live Poker Final

Fox Sports Net has announced it will broadcast America�s first ever live poker tournament. The channel will air The American Poker Championship Live From the Turning Stone Resort and Casino on July 14 at 6 to 10 pm, which will feature six finalists competing for a million dollar first prize.

'There's no doubt that poker has gained tremendous momentum as a television product in the last year,' said George Greenberg, FSN executive vp production and programming. 'Our hope with this live telecast is to capture the high-stakes drama and tension every poker player experiences as it occurs -- good hands, bad hands, miscues and successes.'

Fox has said it will be introducing a new card-reader computer system for the event that will make 'instantaneous onscreen card identification� possible. There will be a five second delay on the broadcast over because of concerns over cheating.
