Former England Cricketer Joins Great Poker League Roster

The Great Poker League (GPL) is living up to its name with the addition of a former England test cricketer to its roster of players.

Former England player Ed Giddins will be leading the recently formed �Team GPL� into some prestigious poker events in 2007. Giddins joins GPL marketing director Colin Hawker and the top-ranking payer in the GPL Annual League on the team.

Giddins is no stranger to the poker scene. As well as some outstanding results in notable tournaments and a terrific record at online poker, he has also worked as a commentator on some of the poker channels.

'We are thrilled to have Ed on board,� said Colin Hawker, GPL marketing director. �As well as being a damn good poker player and a well known face on the circuit, he is also great fun to be with. Myself, Ed and the final member of Team GPL are sure to have a lot of fun next year and, fingers crossed, we might even get some results too.'
