888.com Stages Casino Royale of its Own

To celebrate the launch of the new James Bond film, Casino Royale, 888.com is organising its own Royal Casino by staging a poker tournament with the heirs to the throne � Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice and Peter and Zara Phillips.

The one off poker game will see the younger royals play one hand of Texas Hold�em poker, the very same game that plays a central role in the plot of Casino Royale. Battling it out for a charity pot of �1 million the winner of the hand will be receiving �600,000 to donate to a charity of their choice. Each of the other royals will get to donate �100k to their chosen charity.

�This will be the real Casino Royale,� said Matt Robinson, 888.com head of offline marketing. �Royalty and card playing are intrinsically linked in history.

�With the advent of the new Bond film it seems only logical to stage a royal poker event in the name of charity,� Robinson said. �We are hoping the royals will be flushed with pride and our approach to the young royals will raise lots of money for good causes.�
