Dutch Celebs Try their Hand at Bond-Style Poker

Everest Poker offered poker lessons to Dutch celebrities including a movie critic, an architect and a number of television personalities who all attended the Dutch premiere of the new James Bond movie Casino Royale.

November 16 saw the world-famous Tuschinski theatre in Amsterdam undergo a transformation for one night only. The venue was turned into a fully fledged casino to host the premiere of the movie.

Everest Poker, who sponsored the event, rolled-out the red carpet to give celebrities the opportunity to participate in a live poker experience. The enthusiastic celebrities apparently queued for a turn at the felt, picking up tips from pros like Dutch poker champion Steven ten Cate who was on hand as a dealer.

Casino Royale, which features an action-packed high stakes Texas Hold�em game in a crucial scene, was released across Europe this week.
