Online Poker Room Follows its Charges to Classic

Online poker room Pocketfiveslive.com has confirmed that it will provide live coverage of its online players who are travelling to Barcelona, Spain on December 2, for the finale of the Ongame Network Poker Classic.

The $5,000 buy-in tournament, which will be held at the Casino de Barcelona, will see 45 online poker champions battle it out on the felt for a share of the $1.3 million prize pool, with the winner receiving $283,038. The event started over a month ago with more than 270 players competing online to win a seat at the live final, with several players from Pocketfives.com winning through to the Barcelona event.

Pocketfiveslive.com live reporter Court Harrington mused, 'The opportunity to be around the best of the best in the poker and to be able to travel to some of the most amazing places in the world at the same time is just incredible.'

Saturday will see the field trim from 45 to nine players, and Pocketfives.com will be hoping that a player from its stables, including Brett Ho and Chris �MarvinGarden� Birchby who finished fourth in the World Series of Poker $1,500 No Limit event, can reach the final table on Sunday.

PocketFivesLive.com will also be in Las Vegas from December 14 for the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic.
