Third PaddyPowerPoker.com $1 Shootout Today

Today sees the third PaddyPowerPoker.com $1 shootout, where one player will walk away with a �3,500 ticket to the 26th Irish Open 2007 to be held in Dublin over Easter weekend 2007.

While the tournament can accommodate as many as 999 players, the two previous shootouts have fielded around 400, and accordingly, PaddyPowerPoker are billing this the �path of least resistance� to the Irish Open event.

As well as the $1 (10c registration fee) Shootout Tournaments which take place on the first Monday of every month at 20:00, players can also win a grand final seat daily in 14:00 and 22:00 games with buy-in at $12 + $0.60 (re-buy). Additionally, players can buy-in directly to a grand final for $198 + $9.90 (re-buy) every Sunday at 21:00.

This year's Irish Open, which will be filmed for TV, is the biggest in Europe with a �2 million guaranteed prize pool and a capacity for 800 players paying �3,300 (plus �200 registration) to play against the cream of a worldwide crop.
