Everest Poker Room to hold Nordic Summer Poker Tourney

Everest Poker Room is to hold another world's first by hosting the first ever Scandinavian Poker Tourney with a twist. This unique tourney will see qualifiers from Sweden, Denmark and Norway play in national teams, before pitting the players against each other in a player on player final.

Online qualification rounds will be held throughout January in a bid to find the final 30 players, 10 from each country. One player from each team will be seated at one of the 10 tables. At specific points throughout the game players will be able to consult with their teammates in a bid to encourage team spirit.

The competition will be decided at the ten tables. However, an added incentive for the players is that the winners from each table automatically qualify for a seat at the individual's final at Casino Barcelona on the same day. The individual play-off will see 10 payers sit-down for a chance to win the 25,000 Euro prize pool on offer.

EPNS online qualifiers will be held every Tuesday at 20:00GMT, costing $22+2 buy-ins, while satellites to the EPNS qualifiers will run the prior Wednesday through Monday.
