Mansion $100K a Day Tourney Gets Underway

The first of a month long series of �$100K a Day� Guaranteed Poker kicked off at 03:00GMT on Mansion Poker yesterday attracting 498 players and delivering a $52,690 prize pool overlay.

Mansion member kuj0 was the inaugural $100K a Day event winner, turning a $100 investment into an impressive $24,000 payday for his efforts up against a field of 497 competitors and pocketing the winner�s cheque in less than five hours of online play.

�The response to the first of our $100,000 Guaranteed Tournaments has been fantastic,� said communications manager Kathryn Farrell. �We expect the momentum will build and tournament numbers to swell throughout January, as more players recognise that there is real value to be found at Mansion Poker.�

kuj0 had a big chip lead when he finally went heads up against rkruok, and only six hands were needed for him to take out his remaining opponent. In the final hand, the chips went in after the flop (9H 2S 7C), with rkruok (10C 8H) on an open ended straight draw and looking to hit. With no joy coming for rkruok on the turn (KS) or the river (5D), kuj0 won with his pair of sixes.
