No Worries For Lindgren in Aussie Millions

Poker star Erick Lindgren found his bank account just slightly healthier as he took down the $100,000 Hold Em Event at the Aussie Poker Millions, bagging a not-insubstantial $1 million for his efforts.

18 of the world’s top players forked out the cash to lock horns at the Crown Casino in Melbourne. Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen and Tony G were just a few of the famous faces taking part.

It was bound to be a nail-biter and so it proved with Negreanu and Roland DeWolf both making early exits.

Masaaki Kagawa caused a stir by finishing 3rd, taking home a quarter of a million for his troubles.

Heads-up, it was a battle of the Erics as Eric Seidel and Lindgren battled it out for the top prize. On the last hand, Seidel couldn’t complete his flush with KhJh on a board of Ah-8d-9h-6d-5c. Lindgren’s Ac7c held up to nab him the title and the dosh.
