PKR announce new weekly $10K guaranteed tournament
London, 31 January 2007 – Saturday nights at PKR will never be the same again, as the next-generation poker room has today announced the launch of a new weekly $10,000 Saturday Night Special tournament.
Starting on February 3rd at 20:30GMT, the $50 buy-in event also has a host of satellite feeders that allow players to qualify for as little as $5.50 – a route that proved very profitable for PKR player ‘blueback’ who turned his $5.50 into almost $2,500 in a similar event last week.
PKR Marketing Director Simon Prodger said, “We’re delighted to be able to offer a weekly big money event that appeal to players of all levels. Not only do our satellites offer everyone the chance to take part, but we feel that this event strikes the perfect balance between reward and playability – that is, you can play for big money without having to spend 12 hours competing against a field of thousands.”

Wednesdays & Fridays at 21:30 GMT. $11 buy-in, one seat per five entrants.
Saturdays at 16:00 GMT. $5.50 buy-in, one seat per 10 entrants.
Sit and Go
$5.50 buy-in, 10-seater, winner qualifies.
$11 buy-in, 10-seater, top two finishers qualify.
$11 buy-in, 6-seater, winner qualifies, runner-up gets $11 back.
Heads up
Go heads up with one other player for $27.50 and the winner takes all!
