Bodog Stars Gear Up For WPT Event

A raft of online qualifiers, the largest ever supplied by Bodog for a WPT event, will join Team Bodog pros Josh Arieh, David Williams and Evelyn Ng at the LA Poker Classic Main Event this weekend.

The WPT LA Poker Classic starts February 24 running until March 1. 20 players have qualified through Bodog.com to take their seats at the Commerce Casino and take on some of the world�s top players, all vying for a shot at the first prize. Last year�s top slot earned over $2 million.

Team Bodog�s online qualifiers earned their entry through one of several online promotions, including Bodog.com�s 'Refer-A-Friend', the Bodog.net sweepstakes and the numerous WPT satellite tournaments offered online at Bodog.com, where players could win a seat for as little as $1.50. As a member of Team Bodog, the qualifiers for the LA Poker Classic were rewarded a prize package worth $12,000.

The online site continues to offer places on Team Bodog for upcoming events. At least three guaranteed $12,000 prize packages are given away weekly through WPT/WSOP Semi-Finals tournaments, held every Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Winners have their pick of playing a WPT main event or the richest tournament of them all, the 2007 WSOP Main Event.
