Instant Play an instant hit with Mac-users

Absolute Poker has announced that the new Java version of their poker platform has seen thousands of Mac-users flocking to its website to register.

The new version, called Instant Play, was launched after huge demand from Macintosh users for immediately accessible online poker games.

Absolute Poker is one of the earliest sites to enable players to log in and play real-money and play-money Texas Holdem cash games from a Mac.

Instant Play does not yet offer the full spectrum of games available on the download version for the Windows platform, but plans are on track to develop the Mac-friendly poker software to include all the games and features made available on the downloadable version.

Absolute Poker's no-download capability means that gamers, whether using a Windows system or now a Mac, can log in from anywhere with an internet connection and play instantly.

David Clainer, senior vice president for Absolute Poker said: "Mac users, travellers, and remote players are largely underserved in this market and we've taken the necessary steps to accommodate them."
