Scots get luck of the dice

The Irish may be traditionally lucky, but a new survey has found that Scotland is the place to be if you want to win big when taking a gamble.

According to Jackpotjoy, which conducted the study, Aberdeen is the luckiest place to be in Britain when gambling, with 47 per cent of residents having won £10 on the National Lottery at least ten times.

Meanwhile, 16 per cent of those living in the city reported that they regularly win cash through playing games such as poker and blackjack online.

So it appears that, for those looking to play poker or any other casino game online, Scotland may be the place to go!

However, a spokesman for Jackpotjoy pointed out that it may have more to do with attitude than geography, pointing out that most people from Aberdeen tend to consider themselves to be lucky.

The spokesman added: "Their positive attitude is obviously working."
