Tuesday 20th March 2007 Harrah’s and Bluff Media Strike WSOP Deal
Harrah’s License Company LLC, an affiliate of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc, is to work in conjunction with Bluff Media LLC to provide online and radio coverage of all WSOP-branded events on a global basis.
Harrah’s has provided a letter of intent, so the exact details have yet to be made official in a definitive agreement. The letter did agree that Harrah’s is committed to Bluff Media as its digital content provider for the World Series of Poker and the World Series of Poker Europe.
This will include www.worldseriesofpoker.com, broadband, streaming and real-time content, including chip counts, live event updates and video and audio news programmes and features.
“Bluff shares our vision for bringing WSOP content to every medium that matters,” said Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the World Series of Poker.
“Over the next four years, this alliance will help us connect with our players and fans in new and exciting ways, and further increase the value and relevancy of our global brand.”
Eddy Kleid, co-president of Bluff Media, added, 'We believe the consolidation of digital-publishing rights under this agreement will lead to a more cohesive, integrative and compelling product for poker fans around the globe.”
