Defiant Yanks still gaming online

Many Americans will have taken the 2006 US Unlawful Internet Gambling Act as a cue that their online poker fun was over, but a new blog has been set up to show hardcore US players that they can still access their favourite game.

The blog is updated weekly and tells our competitors from across the pond where and how they can sign up to online rooms to get their poker fix.

The site lists more than 30 rooms that will still happily accept US players and details how they can use a secure eWallet in order to legally use their credit cards to fund their accounts.

The blogger responsible, Randy Parkes, explained why he set up the site: "I wanted to make sure Americans knew that they still had an option to play, and that this law isn't the end of the game in the US."

It certainly isn't as the blogsite logged more than 3,000 hits last month. For more and more Americans who are trying to find ways around US gambling laws, the site also lists details of how to protest about the current 'ban'.

Parkes said: "The more people who defy the ban - which is also entirely legal for them to do- the more the US government might realise this is a ban which goes against the people's wishes."
