LegalPlay Gamble With Mining

LegalPlay, the online poker specialist, has made the rather surprising announcement this week that it is expanding its business interests to include mining for Gold, Silver and other expensive mineral properties. The company, which employs a skill poker system and is therefore one of the few legal online gaming companies based on North American soil, has declared that competition from off-shore businesses, as well as pressure from the American Government, has forced them to branch out into other areas.

President Mark Glusing told Reuters this week, �Sure, mining is a bit of a gamble, but at least we don't have to worry about the Justice Department when we're digging in the ground.�

'The current strategy in relation to the company's gaming operations is not providing sufficient results to build significant shareholder value,' said a recent statement from the company.

'Competition in online gaming is extremely competitive and until such time that legislation is passed in the United States, the Skill Poker system will not be a popular choice for the online gaming consumer,' the statement added.
