Monday 8th January 2007 Full Tilt’s Poker After Dark
Full Tilt Poker is presenting its poker players with the chance to compete against pros at a new NBC TV show.
The only way of qualifying for the show, Poker After Dark, is via Full Tilt Poker, spending some hard-earned Full Tilt Points (FTPs).
The hour-long show is hosted by Shana Hiatt, and is broadcast Monday to Saturday at 02:05 ET. The show follows the ups and downs of six players who put up $20,000 to vie for a $120,000 prize.
Amongst the big name players reportedly confirmed to appear are Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Chris Moneymaker, Annie Duke, Phil Laak, and Gus Hansen.
The championship is scheduled for April 7 at 21:30 ET. Players with 10,000 FTPs may buy-in directly, but most players will qualify through a series of multi and single-table tournaments. Entries to the qualifiers cost 100, 180, 360, and 600 FTPs. Full Tilt’s package is worth $25,000, which includes entry and $5,000 for the trip and spending money.
