Playtech Signs with PartyGaming

Gambling software operator Playtech has announced that it has struck a deal with PartyGaming to power the gaming websites that PartyGaming has agreed to buy from Empire Online and Intercontinental Online.

A Playtech statement read, 'Under the terms of the four-year agreement, the online gaming websites currently operated by Empire and Intercontinental will remain exclusively on the Playtech platform.'

The websites that are being acquired by PartyGaming include NoblePoker.com, Clubdicecasino.com, EnterCasino.com, MissBingo.com, FairPoker.com and MagicBoxCasino.com.

The deal between Playtech and PartyGaming is conditional on the successful acquisition of Empire by PartyGaming which was officially announced last week. PartyGaming confirmed that it was to buy the gaming assets of Empire Online for �19.2 million and Intercontinental Online for �14 million in a move which is thought to be worth an estimated �4 million to PartyGaming.

PartyGaming chief executive Mitch Garber explained, �These acquisitions represent excellent value for our shareholders and are consistent with our strategy.�
