AOL Joins World Series of Poker

AOL poker players can now play for WSOP seats in nine No-Limit Texas Hold�em tournaments on AOL�s World Series of Poker hub. The nine tournaments will run over nine weeks, with qualifier freerolls running every day.

The Sunday tournament will be a winner-take-all event, with the $10,000 WSOP main event buy-in and money for travel up for grabs.

Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of the WSOP says that �AOL is the only officially sanctioned place to play for a chance to win free seats on the Internet.�

Ralph Riviera, Vice President and General Manager of AOL Games, added, �Our agreement with Harrah�s will provide nine novice poker players with the opportunity of a lifetime to join Poker professionals to possibly win the grand prize purse worth millions.�

While AOL may not have a great deal of exposure in the online poker world, it does have a decent range of poker tips and videos of the pros at the table. They also offer Omaha, Stud and other poker games.
