New bling bling WSOP bracelets unveiled

This year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) sees the introduction of the most expensive and flashy bracelets that the tournament has ever known.

Made by luxury Swiss watch-making company CORUM, the 38th year of WSOP bracelets come in four designs, varying in weight from 84 to 136 grams of pure 18-carat gold and covered with diamonds and precious other precious stones.

CORUM's designers wanted to create jewellery that the proud winners could wear every day, although the overall winner of the WSOP tournament might want to take out insurance on their bracelet.

While 53 of the bracelets feature 53 separate diamonds each, the Ladies Championship bracelet is studded with four black diamonds, two rubies and 87 blue sapphires. The winner of the main $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'Em World Championship event will be presented with a bracelet created from 136 grams of 18-carat white gold set with 120 diamonds and featuring a fine watch-link designs with a jeweller's clasp.

The winner of the $50,000 buy-in HORSE Championship will walk off with a bracelet boasting 91 black diamonds and two rubies.

"The World Series of Poker bracelet is the most coveted prize in gaming and the ultimate expression of excellence in poker," said Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the WSOP. "These spectacular bracelets by CORUM are the finest in the history of the WSOP, and will be cherished by those skilled enough to win them."

Stacie Orloff, president of CORUM USA, claimed: "I had the opportunity to show some of the past bracelet winners the new CORUM bracelet. Hands down, they agreed that this is a bracelet they will definitely wear."
