Curtains for WSOP poker cheats

As fans arrived to watch the next event in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) on Wednesday, they were astounded to find one of the final tables surrounded by a black curtain, which had been erected after allegations of cheating, Bodog Beat reports.

The curtains had been put up around a table in the Amazon Room of the Rio Casino to divide the players from the crowds, which included fans, friends and family.

It emerged that the Nevada Gaming Commission had requested the installation of the curtains in order to curb any cheating that might occur as the WSOP's final tables are now broadcast with only an hour's delay on the organisation's website.

As hole cards are displayed for each hand, officials are concerned that finalists could discover information that would work to their advantage, such as the history of specific hand, tactics or tells from acquaintances watching the action onscreen.

Unfortunately, while no one wants the poker cheats to win, poker fans who have travelled to Vegas to see their favourite pros in person will now have to face the fact that they may not be able to watch the play unless another solution is found.
