Monday 18th June 2007 21-year-old wins WSOP event 22
James Mackey, a 21-year-old from Colombia, has grabbed his first World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in event 22, $5000 buy-in No Limit Hold'em tournament, which won him $730,740.
It only took the unknown youngster 48 hands and just over two hours to beat off all competitors on the final table, with Stuart Fox finishing in second place to take $448,892.
Mackey triumphed over a field of 640 players, meaning that the prize pool stood at $3,012,700.
Mackey came to the final table as joint chip leader with Karga Holt, another unfamiliar face in poker circles, but the other seven players included two World Poker Tour winners. Collectively the other competitors had picked up three bracelets between them and had ended up on the WSOP final tables a total of nine times.

Maciek 'Michael' Gracz reached the final table for the second time in this year's WSOP tournaments, but he could only manage to come in ninth, although he earned $43,684 for his efforts.
John 'Tex' Barch, whose best finish was third in the 2005 WSOP main event, could only manage eight place and $60,254 in winnings.
Mackey's win makes him the third-youngest bracelet winner in the history of the WSOP tournament - only Steve Billirakis and Jeff Madsen have beaten that record.
