Brother of Grinder bags WSOP bracelet

Mizrachi may sound a familiar name in poker circles, but the winner of the prestigious $10,000 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Championship was not Michael 'the Grinder' Mizrachi, but his older brother Robert.

While the Grinder has been one of poker's most well-known faces in recent years, his brother has pipped him to the victory of ever actually wining a coveted WSOP bracelet.

But there is little sibling rivalry among the brothers as poker has always been a shared enjoyment in the Mizrachi family. After Robert was taught how to play poker by the boys' mother, he then went on to teach the Grinder all he knew about the game.

Although he has yet to earn his own nickname, Robert Mizrachi has achieved his own success at diverse forms of poker. At this year's WSOP he has already cashed five times and has appeared at the final table three times so far.

The older Mizrachi, who is only 28, scooped $768,889 in prize money for his Omaha victory and is in with a shot at the title of WSOP Player of the Year for 2007 after finishing 1st, 5th, 6th, 26th, and 40th place.
