Anna Wroblewski Wins Bellagio Five Star Event

A recent run of bad luck at the tables sent Anna Wroblewski job hunting. She took a $10/hr job in order to meet her bills. It must have been a bad experience because she has turned her game right around, and won the Bellagio Five Star World Poker Open yesterday.

Not one to waste precious buy-in money on bills, Wroblewski was able to cover the $3,000 to enter the tournament, and once it was over concluded, �I�m just so happy, I can�t stop smiling.�

The win is well deserved, not least because of her classic poker biography � �leaving home young to sneak into casinos under age, returning home, almost going broke, nearly giving up faith, trying a �real job�, getting the win crucial for entry into some big event and then powering through to victory.� The difference here is that Wroblewski has compressed all of this into two years rather than the usual twenty.

Nor is the win a matter of getting lucky; the event had 324 other players, many of whom are serious pros.
