Man Loses Teeth at Poker

A German poker enthusiast found the stakes a little too high when his opponent walked away with his dentures. The distressed 45-year-old from Dortmund called the police to help him retrieve the masticatory-aid, which had been taken as security against £100 owed.

His rival admitted taking the teeth but claimed he’d won them fair and square, and was merely ensuring a swift repayment of the debt. The police forced the man to hand back the dentures, saying he faced theft charges if he held on to them.

Reunited with his pride and joy, the man explained that he’d the police for help because he ‘didn't want to have to live off fluids’ until he'd raised the money.
