Online Petition in Anger Management

The recent passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) has sent shockwaves throughout the online gaming industry, forcing listed companies to either shut down or sell up their US facing businesses.

However, the effect the bill has had on the US playing community is just as strong, with online operators now legally unable to accommodate them. The frustration this has caused among players has been encapsulated by one man’s decision to start an online petition in protest against the UIGEA.

Online gambler Jim Nickogoski from Lackawaxen in Pennsylvania has become so angry with the US regulations that he has created a petition called the ‘Angry Online Gambler’, aimed at highlighting public opinion about the legislations.

'The reason I started this petition is because I am tired of the American government thinking it has the right to tell me what's best for me,” fumed Nickogoski. “I say it is my right as an American to make that decision, and if the government disagrees with me, I will vote for someone who does agree with me.'

The ‘Angry Online Gambler’ has been set up at www.myspace.com/angryonlinegambler, and apart from being a petition, the site also offers a place for online gamblers to vent their frustrations and leave comments, plus the additional bonus of a free Caribbean Poker game.
