Mind power wins poker tournament

A psychologist has won the World Series of Poker, suggesting that success at the game might be all in the mind!

Jerry Yang, a 39-year-old who grew up in Laos, walked away with $8.25 million at the World Series of Poker on Wednesday.

Yang upped his game at the crucial moment, coming from eighth to lead the chips soon after play began on Tuesday and the winner said his main tactic at this year's event had been to be aggressive.

"The only way I would win this tournament is to be aggressive from the very beginning and that's exactly what I did," he explained.

Yang said he did "a lot of bluffing" during the tournament and there's no doubt his psychology knowledge helped to steer him through the rounds and to come out on top at the final table.
