Women on top of the flops at poker party

Plenty of girl-on-girl action will be seen in London this august as the inaugural PartyPoker Women's World Open poker tournament commences, with plenty of celebrity poker faces leading the field.

Actresses Shannon Elizabeth and Jennifer Tilly have both committed to the event. Tilly already holds a World Series of Poker Women's tournament bracelet and Elizabeth recently placed fourth in
the NBC Heads-Up Championship in the US.

The best professional in the 36-runner field will be America's Liz Lieu, who has already been successful in PartyPoker's Premier League Poker series.

Elizabeth said: "I'm so excited to be coming to London to commentate and play in the inaugural PartyPoker Women's World Open. So many great women will be playing from the United States including Liz Lieu and Jennifer Tilly, so hopefully one of us can bring home the championship!"

The action will take place between the 7th and 10th of August at a venue in London. With a $3,000 buy-in the females will fight tooth and nail for a share of the $108,000 prize pool, with the overall winner scooping $50,000.

Poker fans can catch the tournament on UK telly later in the year on Five and the show will feature commentary from Jesse May and Shannon Elizabeth.
