World Poker Congress announces ace speakers

After the success of last year's World Poker Congress (WPC) seminar, the organisation has announced Jeffrey Pollack and Steve Lipscomb as speakers for November's gathering.

The poker experts will deliver speeches at the second annual conference at the Westin Dragonara Resort in Malta on November 29th and 30th.

While the WPC aims to "examine the synergy between the traditional land-based and online poker industry", the conference this year will address issues such as tournament management, fraud and new games as well as exploring technological advances in poker.

Jeffrey Pollack has been vice president of sports and entertainment marketing for Harrah's since 2005 and is commissioner for the World Series of Poker.

Meanwhile Steve Lipscomb is creator and CEO of the World Poker Tour.

The WPC says that poker fans who visit the conference will have access to experts from the live and online gaming world and have the opportunity to network with executives from leading poker service companies.

"With Steve Lipscomb and Jeffery Pollack, we will present two of the individuals most responsible for the recent poker boom," says Sue Schneider, president of River City Group, which organises the conference.

"With their unique perspective and wisdom, they will examine the global reach of the game and how it is penetrating international markets."
