Bad Beat Jackpot Hits Twice

The online poker bad beat jackpot at Absolute Poker has paid out again, and again. Twice in five hours is a lot of consolation.

It works like this: if anything over quad 7�s loses to a bigger hand, the players win the �Bad Beat Jackpot�, though some of the money rolls into the next Jackpot pool.

First it was JOE JETS� quad 9s that ran into SHORT_SHYT's quad Jacks but paying $97,650.85, then in an even bigger badness of bad beat, JBAND277's quad 10s hit GOLFCOFFEY's quad Jacks for $26,890.35.

There was some initial scepticism in the industry about the bad beat jackpot. How can fours over fours be a bad beat?
