The Nuts is Back on Dragons Den Tonight

The Dragons Den, where potential investors examine entrepreneurs, asks The Nuts Poker League ‘Where are they now?’ as they return for an update on their progress.

The light-hearted poker league operates local games with results entered into a table. Every three months players compete for prizes provided by sponsors. The emphasis is clearly fun.

On being asked, “How do you work?”, league founder Steve Bellis instantly fired back with, “We work very hard, thank you.”

They certainly do: soon to launch in London, the league has clearly prospered, but unfortunately the Dragons have not. After the initial publicity generated by the program, the Nuts website was inundated with 50 hits per second. “That’s a lot,” said Steve.

They were faced with a business decision; either go through weighty due diligence paperwork for their investors or simply get on with the job. In the end they chose the latter and tonight’s programme should be interesting viewing, as the Dragons may have a growl about that.

In addition to the Newsletter, The Nuts have also set up Poker Holidays. They are offering a week at the Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote for less than £300. Along with the usual facilities of sun, sand, pools and apartments, bars, restaurants a gym and entertainment, the group will have their own private area for poker tournaments. Lots of families are booking the holidays because the facilities are so child-friendly that everyone will have something to enjoy. Other ‘runners’ on the holiday include the many people who have made friends through the league events.
