Full Tilt Online Poker Series Begins Today

Leading online poker room Full Tilt Poker has announced that the fifth incarnation of its Online Poker Series will kick off today and pay out over seven millions dollars in excess of 14 events.

The fourth instalment of the Online Poker Series held in May guaranteed a prize pool of four million dollars and the newly upped total guaranteed prize pool for the fifth series has seen Full Tilt heavily promoting its $2,620 buy-in two-day no-limit Hold'em tournament. It features a $600,000 guarantee and means that Full Tilt expects at least 240 entrants with satellites into the event running for as little as $55.

Single-table $357 buy-in sit ‘n’ go games are also being run and the first-place finisher will gain entry into the event with the second place finisher earning $395.

The Main Event will also be bigger for the fifth tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of two million dollars. May’s Main Event guaranteed a $1.5 million prize pool but this was raised by the event’s 3,798 entrants to a final total of $1,899,000 and first-place finisher ‘John_McClane17’ pocketed $336,000.

Full Tilt said that it would be awarding each event winner with an exclusive golden jersey avatar with other prizes including limited-edition baseball caps for all players who finish in the money in any event and baseball caps and jackets for all players who reach a final table.

Other games being featured will include Omaha, seven-card stud, HORSE, hold ‘em and shorthanded and rebuy events.
