Tuesday 7th August 2007 Tourney Dates Alert for GBPT Grand Final
The date change for the Great British Poker Tour (GBPT) was announced yesterday. The Grand Final, will still be held at the Gala Casino Harbourside in Bristol, but is now scheduled for 11th November, with a number of big games available from the 5th onwards. The £2500 + £50 Grand Final will be the culmination of this year’s Great British Poker Tour, where many regional champions have already won their seats.
Other game dates are as follows:
5th November
£300 + £30 NLHE Freezeout, 120 players, with prize money and a seat in the £1,000 + £50 event.
6th – 7th November
£1000 + £50 NLHE Freezeout, 120 players, prize money and a £2,500 + £50 Grand Final Main Event. The runner up will get a bonus seat in the £500 + £50 and a 2008 GBPT regional of their choice as well as the prize money.
8th – 11th November
The £2,500 + £50 No Limit Texas Hold’em Great British Poker Tour Grand Final.
This freezeout will run over four days, and seats for 200 players are available. It will start at 2 pm, with 15,000 starting chips and 60 minute blinds.
Prizes consist of money and buy-ins for a number of glamorous tournaments including the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Aussie Millions, an EPT event in 2008 and two £500 Great British Poker tour seats for next year.
Bristol has never looked so tempting in November.
