Betfair Announces WSOPE Sponsor Deals

One of the UK�s largest online betting companies, Betfair, has announced that it will be rewarding one of its players generously if they make the final table at next month�s World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Europe Main Event.

The London-based firm said that the prize would consist of sponsored support into the event for the next three years.

�The Threedom Pass has been a part of our live tournament offering for two years now but this is the most valuable offer yet,� said Ben Fried, Head of Poker for Betfair.

Betfair said that its Threedom Pass would be worth $69,000, which includes buy-ins plus $9,000 in expenses at London�s WSOP Europe. To be eligible, players must qualify online with Betfair or buy in direct through its software.

''With all the legends of poker who have committed to this event, making the first-ever WSOP Europe final table will be a significant accomplishment,� said Ty Stewart, Director of Marketing, Sponsorship and Licensing for Harrah's Entertainment. �We applaud Betfair for creating additional excitement and value for players.''

The Main Event at the first WSOP Europe is being presented by Betfair.com and is expected to attract more than 700 players.

�We are all very excited about this event, the first bracelet event ever to take place outside Las Vegas,� said Fried.

�Team Betfair will have a strong presence and we want to make sure that our players are looked after in the famous Betfair tradition. The Threedom pass is there because we are committed to supporting our very best players.�
