Action Dan fights off final table

Dan 'Action' Harrington has won the latest stage of the World Poker Tour's Legends of Poker $10,000 Championship Event.

Dan was one of the three favourites to win among Tom Schneider and David 'the Dragon' Pham, due to previous results in major tournaments.

Although they all finished in the top four, Tom Schneider was eliminated in fourth place behind Thu Nguyen who took third.

Dan Harrington and David Pham then faced a head's up for the top prize of $1,634,865. Although it looked like a tough battle that could have gone either way, after what seemed like a decade, Harrington finally won through leaving Pham $800,185 for second place.

None will have been too surprised that the poker stud pulled off the win. Action Dan has been notorious ever since he not only managed to win the World Series Of Poker Main Event in 1995 but also put in appearances on the final tables in 2003 and 2004.
