Online Slots Player Survey Set to Raise Eyebrows

Online casino Slotland.com has announced that the early results of its Online Slots Player Survey are challenging some commonly held assumptions regarding players.

The Survey asks about betting habits, memorable wins and strategies for winning. In addition, with mobile gambling becoming popular, it also includes questions about playing games on mobile telephones.

Players completing the Survey, which runs until Sunday, can enter a free contest that will see one lucky respondent win $500 in credit to their Slotland.com account.

The Survey’s early results suggest that most slots players aren’t playing for pennies. Although most said that the highest ever bet was $50 to $100, they also stated that they occasionally or almost always like to place a maximum bet.

Respondents overwhelmingly said that their biggest ever win was $1,000, with sticking with a machine that feels lucky no matter how tempting it is to switch being the unanimous statement on how to win.

“We actually get a lot of correspondence from our players,” said John Lancelet of Slotland.com. “So we have a good impression of who they are. This survey confirms a lot of what we already understood but we’ve learned some interesting things about our players. For example, they seem to rely more than I thought on how they feel about a particular machine rather than specific playing strategies.”

Results so far show that video poker and solitaire are popular with slots players while poker is not. While some said that they occasionally play the popular online casino game, most responded that they didn’t play it much or at all.

One of the biggest assumptions has been blown out of the water with the Survey revealing that people of all ages and not just seniors enjoy slots. While respondents have ranged from 20 to 60 and older, most respondents have been in their 30s.
