Poker Room Launches Cheque Facility

One major online poker company still servicing US players, PokerStars.com, has announced that it is to return the eCheck service to at least some of its American clientele.

The eCheck electronic checking service requires the player to provide PokerStars.com with specific banking information so money can be taken directly from a specified personal account via an electronic fund transfer. The minimum amount that can be transferred is $25. There is also a $600 maximum within 24 hours or seven days and a $2,000 maximum over a month.

'Instant eChecks are now available to a limited number of players with plans to make eChecks available to all US players in the near future,' said a message on the cashier section of the PokerStars.com website.

Extensive verification processes are required before the service will be made available to a player, slowing the initial transaction, but thereafter, as long as there are no issues on a player's depositing record, PokerStars.com said that players could expect instant depositing.

Players wanting to withdraw money from their PokerStars.com account can use the service to re-deposit their money back into their bank account should they wish to do so.

The service is provided by DUN Finance Inc, which has been successfully processing online transactions for Internet sites since 2001, and became popular with US players after the exit of NETeller from the American market.
