Citywest promises the luck of the Irish

The ever-popular Irish Open poker tournament is set to be bigger and better than ever before and next year it will relocate to the Citywest Hotel to accommodate its new size.

With an increased capacity for 1,000 players, all the seats are sure to be filled as the 2008 Main Event is offering a guaranteed three million euros prize pool.

After starting on March19th and running all week, the poker tournament champion will be crowned on the 24th Main event after playing a No Limit Hold'em Freezeout game for a 4,200 euro buy-in plus 300 euro entry fee.

The Citywest has 1,314 rooms plus bars, restaurants, ultra-modern health and leisure facilities and two designer golf courses, plus it is located only 20km from Dublin airport, which will be convenient for all the international poker pros that the Irish Open always attracts.

"Citywest Hotel is the ideal location for the 2008 Irish Open," said Paddy Power's communications manager. "We searched the length and breadth of the country to find a venue that could provide players with the famous atmosphere and communal spirit of the Irish Open whilst still being big enough to accommodate the huge field.
